Art Unites in Emergency: The “Artistas por Venezuela” Charity Initiative is Born in Miami

Jul 11, 2026 | News, Sin categoría

Following the recent and devastating earthquake that has left thousands of families displaced, and with the country’s profound, long-standing humanitarian crisis as a complex backdrop, the South Florida artistic community has joined forces in a deeply moving movement of solidarity. This charitable emergency initiative has been launched to raise funds for immediate humanitarian relief.

The project, formally named a charity event for acquisition by artwork bidding, has successfully brought together more than 60 local and international creators. Painters, photographers, and sculptors have chosen to donate their pieces with a single purpose: ensuring that 100% of the proceeds go directly to social assistance during this critical time, where rebuilding and supporting those who lost everything to the earthquake will be a long-term effort.

The non-profit organizations selected to receive the funds are Fe y Alegría, the renowned Venezuelan educational institution, and All for Venezuela, a foundation with over a decade of experience currently focusing urgently on distributing medical supplies, medicines, and food to address the emergency.

Absolute Transparency and Online Bidding

To ensure complete transparency throughout the process, the organizers have emphasized that they will not handle cash or derive any personal profit. The mechanism is direct: once a participant places the highest bid on a piece, they make the corresponding payment directly to the account of their chosen foundation. Upon showing the proof of donation, the artwork is delivered to them.

Thanks to the team’s technological development, the initiative features the website artists4venezuela.com. Through this platform, anyone—even those outside of Miami—can explore the digital catalog and submit preliminary bids, which start at a base of $50 USD per artwork.

Cultural Evening and Event Details

The in-person event will take place on Saturday, July 25th, at 6:00 PM at the cultural center and bookstore Lugar Común (676 NW 23rd Street, Miami), which generously provided its space free of charge to support the cause.

In addition to the art exhibition coordinated with the support of Rosa Landaes in media outreach, the evening will feature a culinary experience by Uruguayan chef and artist Mario Marinoni, alongside a live musical performance by the renowned tenor David Capielo. The organizers’ goal is clear: to inspire empathy within the community in the wake of this catastrophe and ensure that every single artwork finds a home, turning art into direct relief for the victims.
